Rukmini leads research and writing at Data For India. Her areas of focus include health, gender and household economics. She has previously led data journalism in Indian newsrooms and wrote a book on data and India.
Akhil Wable
Co-Founder
Akhil oversees the product and technology roadmap at Data For India. He previously led product and engineering teams at Facebook and Dropbox, and now supports and contributes to projects which enable greater understanding and curiosity about the world through writing, art and technology.
Pradeep Vanga
Software Engineer
Pradeep works on building data pipelines and back-end development for DFI. Pradeep earlier worked as a software engineer in technology startups and large enterprises. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from IIT Kharagpur. Pradeep has a passion for open-sourcing India’s public data.
Abhishek Waghmare
Researcher & Writer
Abhishek does research, data analysis and writing for DFI with a focus on the economy and employment. Abhishek spent the last decade in data journalism in both digital publications and newspapers. He has a graduate degree in electronics engineering. Abhishek loves to work with public data, and is interested in economics and public finance.
Pragnya
Engineer
Pragnya is a developer at DFI focusing on data visualisation. Pragnya has six years of experience building data-driven applications. She has a master's degree from IIIT-Hyderabad.
