At Data For India, Abhishek writes on India’s economy and employment with a shared focus on individual and household well-being. Previously, he led a data journalism team at the Business Standard newspaper.

Akhil previously led product and engineering teams at Facebook and Dropbox, and now supports and contributes to projects which enable greater understanding and curiosity about the world through writing, art and technology.

Apoorv oversees Data Operations at Data For India. He works on finding better ways for people and communities to engage with public datasets.

Arpit leads audience engagement and product innovation efforts at Data For India. His work focusses on making the platform's data-first information accessible to diverse audiences across various contexts and mediums.

Gulshan is a software engineer specialising in modern web development. His work is focused on crafting seamless user experiences, interface design, and data visualisations to help make better web experiences accessible to everyone.

Nandlal's interests lie in development, health and social statistics. Skilled in analyzing large-scale datasets, Nandlal is in his final year of Ph.D. in Population Studies at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai.

Nileena is a writer and researcher focused on health and living conditions. She has a background in data journalism and holds a degree in engineering. She is interested in using data to better understand and explain social issues.

Pragnya is an engineer at Data For India, building data pipelines, visualisation systems, and publishing tools. With a background in developing data-driven applications, her work centres on making complex data easier to use and understand.

Pramit leads Data For India's research program. He was earlier the data editor at Mint. He has a master’s degree in economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, and a master's degree in research from King's College London.

Rukmini's areas of focus include demographics, gender and household economics. She has previously been a data editor in Indian newsrooms, and wrote a book on data and India. She is passionate about taking access to knowledge from data to everyone.

Pradeep worked on building data pipelines and back-end development for Data For India in 2022-23. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from IIT Kharagpur, and has previosuly worked as a software engineer in startups and large enterprises.
